In September 2001 Euroforest Products GmbH acquired the modern and high-performance steaming-, drying- und cut to size capacities of the former Wilhelm Raab oHG (edge glued hardwood panels) in Oberaurach/Unterschleichach (area Lower Franconia) and immediately started operations.

The core business in the field of the sawnwood industry and woodtrade is services of rational and safe upgrading of hard- and soft- sawnwood products. The company executives are Daniel Kreyer and Peter-Albrecht Kreyer. The production site holds approximately 20.000 qm and is located in a forest area called Steigerwald / Hassberge. We have bundled the following the service areas:

First of all Steaming/Drying (wage-labour), second the refinement by customer cut to size with subsequent optimization of quality by length-cut to size und planing, and third the area Manipulation/Logistics.

As a specialist with longterm experience and superb Know-how, our goal is to support our customers in supplying their clients, whether domestic or foreign, with steamed and kiln-dried as well as trimmed wood at accountable delivery times. Our ordering party (sawmills, solidwood processors, importers und woodtraders) can dry their merchandise in a qualified manner, no matter if it is en route from their supplier, coming from import, or on the way to their client.

The risk of quality impairment by atmospheric conditions can be reduced to a minimum by our technically safe and precisely scheduled kiln-drying process. At the same time own capacity can be saved for other disposition. By the customer specific cut to size including possible planing, our customers are enabled to offer a complete range up to a final product. By this means you are enabled to approach new customer segments in a focussed way.

After a possible steaming to the desired tone/colour there are currently 8 modern drying kilns and one steaming kiln from the brand "Maweg/Hildebrand" with a drying capacity of a total of 1.500 m3 sawnwood to your disposition, for a sparing drying of fresh or already airdried wood of all kind. In addition, we have the capacity to refine hard-sawnwood on a computerguided, automatized cut to size line plus optional planing and length-optimization to the client's precise measures to edges or friezes. We also offer packaging, e.g. for export, subsequent to a possibly desired sorting by knowledgeable experts. Even an intermediate storage in air-conditioned halls is possible. Euroforest can even take care of the forwarding to the customers or for further processing.

EUROFOREST aims at offering a service function in line with the market along the value creation chain. We achieve this by concentration on the core competencies. By this means we enable suppliers of hardwood an enlargement of their product range up to the finished product, by saving own ressources and having a solid basis of calculation at the same time. Hardwood sawmills can find entirely new sales channels for their products, by the possiblilities of refinement. Solidwood processors can successfully outsource the predecessing areas and focus on the production process itself, reducing overcapacities and the resulting fixed costs in an advantageable way.

In addition the distribution of edge glued panels (under the trademarked label "L'ARBON") and sawnwood in assorted qualities can be continued without any change.

Since October 2002 we offer high-quality firewood from own production to meet the high demand on alternative combustibles. It is technically dried and offered exclusively via wholesalers.
