In the future kiln drying of sawnwood will remain the indispensable requirement for most applications of wood. Owed to the fact that in central European regions a balanced moisture below 12-15% can hardly, if at all, be reached by natural drying, the wood has to be dried technically.

As the second major step in processing, after the cutting, technical drying is linked to a relatively high input of energy, requiring both high thermal input and high input of electricity. Yet, artificial drying has the following advantages compared to open-air drying:

→ Open-air drying is linked to high risks regarding quality, and the timing is hard to calculate

→ Working-capital bound long time using open-air drying (interests, liquidity)

→ A lot of cliets demand immediately processable wood in ever shorter cycles

The risk of quality impairment by atmospheric conditions can be reduced to a minimum by our technically safe and precisely scheduled kiln drying. At the same time own capacity can be saved for other disposition.

Euroforest puts its assets for your wage-labour drying to disposal. Already today an international customer base is taking advantage of our timber drying services, because:

• The volume at disposition would not justify own investment in drying and storage capacities.
