### Our edge glued panels programme ###

→ fingerjointed panels
→ solid-wood panels (made from full length planks)

Product-specification:

Our L'ARBON edge glued panels are made from logsfrom only the best areas of growth. Prior to their processing, the sawnwood is carefully technically dried. After the cut to size process, the lamellas are sorted professionally with respect to their colour and with regard to the desired quality of the panels. Natural alterations of colour and structure, caused by the tree's growth and the direction of cutting, cannot be excluded however. Edge glued panels furthermore continue to have the natural characteristics of solid wood, yet it is possible that the reaction to swelling and shrinkage, warping and bowling, is minimized by our proper and careful glueing process. Despite of that oscillations in temperature and humidity can cause the above mentioned reactions as natural characteristics of wood.

Moisture:

At the end of production, the residual moisture is 10 +/- 2%, corresponding to the equilibrium moisture content upon use in closed rooms with a healthy living comfort of 20°C / 55% humidity.

Glue:

Only qualified and branded glue of demand-class D3 - according to EN 204 is used for our products. Examples of application are indoor areas with regular, short term impact of draining off water or condensed water and/or impact of high humidity. Outdoor areas, sheltered from atmospheric conditions. Glue according to class D4 is offered on demand.

Storage:

Transport or storage can lead to moisture absorption of the panels. It is of utmost importance to take care of constant climatic conditions, during storage and processing. Storage should be done in close, neither too dry, nor too moist rooms. Panels should be covered and lay in a plain and full expanse way at the same time. Take into consideration, that shrinkage- and swelling lies at approximately 0,6% per 1% change in moisture. Hence it is recommended to conduct a climatization to the respective target-moisture, before starting further processing.

Surfaces:

All panels are sanded with 100 grit. Sanding with 80 or 120 grit on demand. Panels can be oiled, waxed or lacquered on demand. In general, face and under-side should have the same treatment to avoid possible warping.
